Welcome – to people of all faiths and to those of no faith. This is an opportunity for me to let off a bit of steam and hopefully at the same time, give you an insight into the mind of a middle aged British Muslim woman of Pakistani origin via her ramblings. Some which will be coherent, others not. But all, I guarantee, written whilst completely sober.
I came to Britain in 1965 having been born in Pakistan and spent the first 25 years of my life living in Leeds. Since 1994 I’ve been a proud Staffordian and 23 years on have very definitely settled here. Married to a wonderful man, we have three children, a daughter-in-law and most adorable granddaughter, four cats, three chickens and two terrapins! I also have many fingers in many pies (as you will no doubt discover!).
The usual disclaimers apply – all views and opinions expressed are my own – you may not agree with them, you may be offended by them. But “If you fuel your journey on the opinions of others, you are going to run out of gas.” (Steve Maraboli).
