Ramadan Reflections Day 21 – More Than Recitation: Understanding the Qur’an
Ramadan is often described as a month of fasting. But in truth, it’s a month of clarity.
For thirty days, Muslims across the world step slightly out of the rush of daily life in order to step more deeply into it. We fast from food and drink, yes, but more importantly, we fast from distraction, from ego, from impatience, from the habits that quietly erode our character.
This year, I’ll be sharing short daily reflections throughout the month, just a couple of minutes at a time, designed not only for Muslims, but for anyone curious about what Ramadan really means beyond headlines and hunger.
These reflections are not sermons. They are pauses. Small moments to consider discipline, gratitude, justice, compassion, restraint, integrity and what it looks like to live more consciously in a noisy world.
Ramadan is not about withdrawal.
It is about returning to faith, to purpose, to what matters most.
If you’d like to journey through the month with me, keep an eye out for the daily reflections as they unfold.
